The rites of passage of the late Eze Aro, Mazi Ogbonnaya Okoro will proceed as earlier planned from Friday, 2nd to Monday, 5th April, 2021.
The scope will, however, be scaled down in the aspect of involvement of non-Aro dignitaries because of the COVID-19 pandemic and insecurity ravaging the country.
We expect to hold a high profile event during the 2021 Christmas period when the situation would have improved.
These would involve the conclusion of the funeral ceremonies and the installation of a new Eze Aro.
Nzuko Aro thanks all who have contributed and are contributing towards giving our late sage a befitting rites of passage. In view of the huge cost outlay for the events this Easter and the subsequent ones during the Christmas period, we appeal to all our people to donate generously
for the events.
We plan to use the events to relaunch Aro and showcase our heritage.
