Flutterwave, Africa’s leading payments technology company, has finished recruiting for its inaugural Graduate Trainee Program, hiring 200 trainees and increasing its employee base by 38%.
The paid programme aims to up-skill young Nigerians in technical and soft skills, expose them to the company’s solutions and products, and provide them with work experience at a global organisation. The New Chief of People and Culture’s first project after rejoining Flutterwave is the Program.
Mansi Babyloni, the new Chief People and Culture Officer, previously served as Flutterwave’s Global Head of People Strategy and Special Projects in 2020 before leaving for a position at PwC’s People and Organization practise in London, UK.
She rejoined Flutterwave as CPO, where she will focus on investing in people, culture, and processes to drive the organization’s growth.
On July 1st, 2022, Flutterwave launched an application portal to allow young graduates from across Nigeria to apply for various positions at the company. The portal closed on July 15th, with 11,000 applications received and 200 candidates accepted into the programme following a rigorous recruitment process.
The candidates were notified of their offers on August 5th, and their two-week onboarding period began immediately.
The programme aims to support young talent in Nigeria, who will in turn help Flutterwave meet its growing talent needs as it works to meet its growth and expansion goals. Flutterwave currently supports over 1,000,000 businesses and needs a steady stream of new talent to keep up with its rapid growth.
