According to reports, the building at Adeleye Street, Lady Lark, Bariga, fell today, Sunday, killing two children and injuring three adults.
According to information obtained by Vanguard, the bungalow structure collapsed after the tank scaffolding of a two-story building fell on the house next to it, damaging two rooms.
The incident was confirmed by Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the permanent secretary of LASEMA, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency.
When the Agency launched its response to the aforementioned occurrence, it learned that a cottage next to it had two rooms affected when the tank scaffolding of a two-story structure collapsed on it.
“Unfortunately, the impact claimed the lives of two children. Three adult guys who were hurt were sent to nearby hospitals.
Responders at the scene of the event include members of the Agency’s reaction team, Lagos State Fire, and LASBCA. Rescue efforts are ongoing.
