Engr. Mrs. Chidinma Ndukwe Assumes Role as Abia State Polytechnic’s Acting Rector, Emphasizes Sustainability

In a significant change of leadership, Associate Professor Hagler Okorie, the immediate past Rector of Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, has officially handed over the reins to Engr. Mrs. Chidinma Ndukwe, the Acting Rector. During the handover ceremony, Prof. Okorie earnestly requested that his successor uphold and sustain the projects initiated by his administration, particularly the Abia Polytechnic Micro Finance Bank and the Business School.

Prof. Okorie, reflecting on his accomplishments over the past few months, expressed his satisfaction with the transformative changes he implemented within the institution during his tenure. He called upon the management and staff to extend the same level of support and cooperation to Engr. Ndukwe, ensuring a smooth transition and continued progress.

Seizing the opportunity, Prof. Okorie implored the new Rector to prioritize the welfare of the staff, emphasizing its paramount importance. He also extended his well wishes to Engr. Ndukwe in her new role.

Engr. Mrs. Chidinma Ndukwe, in response, acknowledged the arduous task that lies ahead but remained resolute in her determination to restore the institution to its former glory. Recognizing the perennial challenge of funding faced by the school, she urgently appealed to the state government to address the 34-month salary arrears owed to the staff.
