YPP Candidate For Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal House of Representatives, Dr. Stephen Ukpai Ohafia Has Expressed Sadness Over The Incessant Killing In Owo, Ondo State.
A Frontline candidate for the post of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal House Of Representative under the umbrella of YPP and a knight in the Catholic Church has expressed sadness over the heinous killing of worshipers on Sunday at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Owa – Luwa street, Owo Kingdom, in Ondo State.
Recall that Arochukwu Blog had earlier reported that not less than 25 worshipers were killed by herdsmen who attacked the church at Owo.
A top Official of the Catholic Church in Ohafia L.G.A and a Frontline candidate for the post of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal House of Representatives has condemned this killing and called on citizens to be security vigilant.
He said this in a statement made available to Arochukwu Blog on Monday morning shortly after the attack.
“So Christains can no longer live in peace in their own country? It is obvious that APC led administration can not protect the Lives & properties of Christains, we are now pushed to defending ourselves. We have respected the unity of this country and cannot condole this anymore.
I call on the leadership of Christain Association of Nigeria (CAN), Catholic Bishops Association of Nigeria, Methodist and Anglican Bishop’s to seek for urgent discussions with the president to curtail further occurance of this evil to avoid breakdown of law which might led to religious war, I called on leadership of Vatican city to use all international connection within it’s reaches to protect Christains in Nigeria. As a Catholic Knight am a soldier of Christ, am under oath to protect & defend the body of Christ. It is so painful that people will live in their country on fear…is killing part of Islam? If it is, I don’t think we have reason to be in the same country together.”
Arochukwu Blog noted that, Dr.sir Stephen Ukpai Ohafia (KSJI) an Ambassador of Christ was so angry when he was communicating to us on this regular killings of Christains.
