Liz Truss has been named the new prime minister of the United Kingdom, UK, as of Monday.
Boris Johnson, who resigned from his position as prime minister in July due to a slew of scandals, is replaced by Truss.
In addition, Liz Truss received 81,326 votes over Rishi Sunak’s 60,399, becoming her the leader of the Conservative Party.
Truss served as the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs prior to her appointment as prime minister.
