Former minister of aviation, Femi Fani Kayode has revealed some of the interesting things he noticed about the recently concluded presidential election in Nigeria. In a post on his official Twitter account yesterday, Fani Kayode stated that Buhari will be the longest-serving democratically elected President from the Northern part of Nigeria when his tenure elapses on 29th May 2023.

According to the former Minister of Aviation the president-elect, Bola Ahmad Tinubu, will be the first Muslim from the south that will rule Nigeria. He said despite the conspiracy staged against Tinubu and his party, he managed to win the election by a landslide.

Speaking about the opposition parties, Fani Kayode stated that this is the first an Igbo presidential candidate won a presidential election in Lagos, Nasarawa, Plateau and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) after he got 94% of votes cast in the southeastern states.
“This will be the first time in the history of Nigeria that a Muslim President and a Muslim Vice President have been sworn in as a democratically-elected President and Vice President respectively. This is the first time that an Igbo presidential candidate (Peter Obi) has won a presidential election in Lagos, Plateau, Nassarawa and the FCT and that the SE states have given 94% of their votes to an Igbo.” He wrote.
