Boss Obinna Iyiegbu, famously known as Obi Cubana, has hammered a N1 billion claim against distributers of Lagos based papers “PM Express” at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) over disparaging distribution against him.
Obi Cubana in the suit dated and documented on April 27, 2022 by his legal counselor, Mr. Afam Osigwe (SAN), is additionally looking for a request for ceaseless order, controlling the litigants either without anyone else, specialists, outsider, media outfits and so forth from distributing, publicizing, advancing, dispersing, circling and serializing the news story, which is the topic of the suit on the web, online entertainment, Facebook and other social stages, containing claims and implications that he is associated with drug dealing. In the suit stamped: CV/1367/2022, Chief Iyiegbu expressed that he had experienced extreme misfortunes since the litigants, in their distribution of April 26, 2022 introduced him as a medication noble whose financial balances have been frozen by the sets of a Federal High Court in Lagos. As per the inquirer, the respondents had on April 26, 2022 distributed on their site: www.pmexpressng.com a story with title ”Court Orders Banks to Freeze Suspected Drug Barons’ Accounts” with his image utilized as that of one of the two thought drug noblemen, Basil Okafor Onochie and Okwuchukwu Edwin Izuxhukwu, whose records were purportedly requested frozen by Justice Tijjani Ringim in the suit documented by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
In supporting his suit of malevolence against the litigants he expressed that he is a very notable figure, whose name and picture (photograph) can’t be confused with either Basil Okafor Onochie or Okwuchukwu Edwin Izuchukwu, the thought drug nobles whose records were requested to be frozen by the court.
