Just IN: Barau Jibrin Emerges Deputy Senate President

On Tuesday, Senator Barau Jibrin secured the position of Deputy Senate President in the 10th National Assembly. According to Aro Okeigbo Blog, Jibrin emerged unopposed for the role, as his rumored contender, Orji Uzor Kalu, did not receive any nominations.

Initially, Jibrin had declared his candidacy for the Senate President position. However, in the absence of Godswill Akpabio, he will now serve as the Deputy Senate President.

It is worth noting that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) had endorsed Akpans Jibrin for both the positions of Senate President and Deputy Senate President.
