RT. HON ALWELL ASIFORO OKERE RUNNING ABIA PDP AGROUND:
HE SHOULD RESIGN OR BE SACKED TO SAVE ABIA PDP
We are constrained to let you know that the way Rt. Hon Alwell Asiforo Okere is
running Abia PDP, the result if allowed to continue is to either run Abia PDP aground
or create the ” 2019 Zamfara APC ” scenario in Abia this 2023. We are even more
worried because it seems he is doing all what he is doing intentionally.
He is running Abia PDP like a one man estate. He is not working with his SWC
members; he prefers to work with non functionaries of the party. He comes up at
will with decisions orchestrated from outside the party.
That was the same way he single handedly (with his external collaborators) came up
with the most unpopular, unhealthy, unheard, ignominious and obnoxious zoning of
the governorship of Abia State to two zones, which is still, up till now, causing
disaffection in the party.
ON HIS SCHEMING TO IMPOSE AN ALREADY PREPARED LIST OF 3-MAN
ADHOC DELEGATE ON ABIA:
While the NWC had suspended the 3-man Adhoc delegate election last Saturday, he
went ahead working with non functionaries of the party to insist that he must
(nocturnally) conduct the election that Saturday. He countered the NWC to notify
DSS, Police and INEC that the election must hold. This he did without the knowledge
of any other member of the SWC, because as at Friday 29th, late at night, none of
the SWC members not to talk of general Abia PDP members was aware that the
election was going to hold the next day. He even had to send a non functionary of
the party to Abuja to collect materials.
Let us even ask, this delegate election he is so desperate to conduct is it not the
election he refused to sell the form in the open? He rather nocturnally shared the
forms to his cohorts for an already prepared list of 3-man delegate.
We need to know who Rt. Hon Asiforo is working with/for in his plan to run Abia PDP
down because the way he is going it’s obvious he is intentional about jeopardizing
PDP in Abia State, all in a bid to protect a candidate whose only campaign language
is” I have been anointed by the governor”, ” I have the ticket in my pocket already”,etc
Sir, to be fore warned is to be fore armed. Rt. Hon Alwell Asiforo Okere will kill Abia
PDP if he is not removed immediately.
AND MORE IMPORTANT, NWC SHOULD CANCEL OR SUSPEND THE 3-MAN
DELEGATE ELECTION IN ABIA, UNTIL FORMS ARE SOLD OPENLY AND THE RIGHT
THINGS ARE DONE. THIS ELECTION SHOULD BE AN OPEN CONTEST NOT A
“MAFIASO” ORCHESTRA.
Our position is that if the delegate election must hold: Everyone should be given a
level playing ground; forms should be sold freely and openly, a well communicated
date and arrangements for the election should be set.
We even heard of the game already set to be played with the intended Abia
delegate election committee chairman and secretary with the Asiforo Cabals.
PDP, he who have ears let him hear.
