Pro yemi Osibanjo attending queen elizabeth funeral in london

In order to represent Nigeria at a variety of events on Sunday and Monday, including the State burial for Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will leave Abuja on Saturday for London.

The VP’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, released a statement on Saturday that read, “Prof. Osinbajo departs Abuja today and will join members of the Royal Family, world leaders, including members of the Commonwealth, Heads of State, Governors-General, Prime Ministers, and foreign royal families, at the ceremonies, including the funeral service scheduled to hold at Westminster Abbey on Monday.”

The Vice President will be among the guests and dignitaries King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla will receive at a banquet in Buckingham Palace on Sunday before the burial service, Akande continued.

The Vice President will meet privately with James Cleverly, the UK Foreign Secretary, earlier on that day.

Following the State Funeral on Monday, the Vice President will go back to Nigeria.
