President Muhammadu Buhari met with presidential aspirants of the All Progressives Congress in Abuja on Saturday.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has been in the news recently for his remarks at a campaign occasion in Abeokuta, was also present.
The gathering was held in secret.
Prior, National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Adamu, expressed none of the party’s official aspirants have been precluded.
Administrator of the party’s official screening board, John Oyegun, had on Friday said just 13 of the 23 applicants were cleared after its examination.
Yet, addressing journalists on Saturday at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, Adamu recommended every one of the 23 were still in conflict no matter what the screening board’s decision.
“I need to say obviously that no hopeful has been excluded,” Adamu said. We have the report. It’s like sitting for a test. What’s more, regardless of whether you pass, there is an evaluating; there is top of the line, inferior upper, below average lower, and a pass.
“The President has welcomed every one of them to supper today.”
