Tinubu Makes Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People Of 2023

Nigeria’s President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has been listed in TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2023.

The annual list of influential individuals which usually includes names of artists, icons, pioneers, leaders, titans, and innovators has Tinubu, Joe Biden’s names, and 18 others among influential leaders in 2023.

In a short profile published on Thursday, April 13, 2023, the American news magazine described the president-elect as a longtime political power broker, who helped Nigeria to restore democracy in 1999 after fighting military rule.

Time Magazine went ahead to commend Tinubu’s gallantness to win an election with three strong contenders for the first time in Nigeria’s 23 years of democracy.

Others on the list included the King of the United Kingdom, King Charles III; US President Joe Biden; US Senator Mitch McConnell; Argentine footballer, Lionel Messi and Twitter CEO, Elon Musk, amongst others.
