Tinubu and Atiku involved in wadada sports

Wadada August 23, 2022: Tinubu, Atiku, and others to participate in Keffi polo event

Bola Tinubu, a senator from the APC, and Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president, who is running for president in the PDP, are slated to compete in the upcoming National Unity Polo Tournament in Keffi, Nasarawa State.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Heritage Bank is helping Keffi Polo Ranch organise the four-day festival.

Other political gladiators, royal fathers, and leaders of the nation’s industries are anticipated to attend the polo match.

The Ranch’s founder and promoter, Mr. Ahmed Wadada, revealed this information in an interview with NAN on Tuesday in Abuja.

According to Wadada, the event, which is slated to take place from September 8 to 11, will act as a genuine forum for fostering greater understanding between the running mates and presidential candidates of all major political parties.

Wadada claimed that this was being done to prevent tense campaigns for the general elections in 2023.

“The political climate in the nation is already charged ahead of the start of the campaigns by all presidential candidates,” he said.

The tournament is necessary to ease tension in the political sphere because it may get hotter in the coming months.

Wadada, who is also the Social Democratic Party’s (SDP) senatorial candidate for Nasarawa West, urged elected officials to abstain from making statements that could incite violence during elections.

“Those of us who are in politics must refrain from making statements that could be construed as threats against ourselves.

He stated, “It is saddening that we make inflammatory statements and the younger ones are listening to us.

Wadada requested the support of all political figures in the nation while announcing that Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo would attend the tournament as a Special Guest of Honor.

This will create a nonviolent political climate before, during, and after the upcoming general elections in 2023, he stated.

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, will serve as the Royal Father throughout the competition, according to the former legislator.

He added that significant figures from the nation, including Speaker of the House of Representatives Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila and President of the Senate Sen. Ahmed Lawal, were anticipated to attend the event.

The presidential flag bearers of all the political parties will compete in the tournament, along with other political gladiators from across the nation, according to Wadada.
