Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, as part of his official visit to Abuja during the week paid a courtesy call on the new Chief of Army Staff, Major General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, on Friday.
Governor Otti congratulated the army chief on his appointment and duscussed areas of cooperation with the army in addressing issues of insecurity in the state.
Recall that Governor Otti had promised a few days ago to adopt every strategy and form whatever alliance required to overcome the security challenges ravaging some parts of the state, especially Umunneochi LGA which has been in the news since 2021 over unending cases of kidnapping.
