The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu has pledged to pay the sum of one milion naira (#1, 000, 000) required for the Surgical Operation of one Mr. Chukwuma Ukaegbu popularly known as Obosi Guy.
Mr. Ukaegbu, a native of Amaekpu Ohafia recently fell from a tree and broke his spinal cord in the process.
He was rushed to the Federal Medical Center Umuahia where a fee in the region of #1, 000, 000 has been demanded for a major operation to get the patient back to his feet.
Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu who was moved by the plight of the man has pledged to make donations through his foundation, The Nwachinemere Foundation for the commencement of the major Operation.
It could be recalled that the vibrant law maker who is seeking to represent the good people of Arochukwu and Ohafia LGA at the Federal House of Representatives, Abuja had in the past sponsored many major Operations of some Indigenes of Ohafia at the FMC as well as cleared the medical bills of many patients at the FMC and local hospitals in Ohafia and Umuahia through his pet project, The Nwachinemere Foundation.
This is also in addition to the Free Medical Outreaches for the Five Wards in Ohafia South sponsored by the law maker who is representing the good people of Ohafia South Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly.
He has also assured that he will explore means of fixing the General Hospitals in both Ohafia and Arochukwu LGAs so as to carter for the medical needs of the people if elected.
