Prof Uche Ikonne has been declared the winner of the just concluded Abia State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship primary election held at Umuahia Township Stadium, profjaysblog gathered.
The former Governor of Ekiti State, Fayose who was the returning officer had declared Ikonne as the winner of the primary election and announced him as the flag bearer of the party in Abia State ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Prof Uche Ikonne had polled about 468 votes making him the highest in the primary election followed by Lucky Igbokwe who polled about 45 votes to come second.
