In a recent conversation with media personality Chude Jideonwo, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, as reported by Aro Okeigbo Blog, expressed his belief that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the February 25 presidential election, remains the best candidate for a better Nigeria.
Despite the declaration of President Bola Tinubu as the winner of the last election, Obasanjo emphasized that Obi is the candidate that Nigeria truly needs at this moment. When asked about his perspective on the matter, he stated, “For the Nigeria that I believe we need to have at this point in time, Peter Obi is still the best… man.”
It is worth noting that Obi is currently challenging the electoral process that led to Tinubu’s victory in court. This has diverted the attention of many Nigerians towards the judiciary, highlighting the significance of the ongoing legal proceedings.
