DR. OKUJI OBINNA OREH, APGA CANDIDATE FOR AROCHUKWU/ OHAFIA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY MOURNS PROF IKONNE
The House of Representatives APGA candidate for Arochukwu/ Ohafia Federal Constituency, Dr Okuji Obinna Oreh, has expressed shock over the death of Prof.Ikonne.
In a Press Release made available to Media men on Wednesday, Dr Oreh described Ikonne’s death as untimely and sudden.
In his words ,he said, “I mourn with deepest regret, the shocking,untimely and sudden demise of Abia PDP gubernatorial candidate, Professor Eleazar Uchenna Ikonne,who passed on in the early hours of yesterday , Wednesday 25, January,2023 at the National Hospital,Abuja”
According to him, he received the news of his shocking demise with great consternation and sadness.
He described Prof Ikonne as a renowned Optometrist and educationalist of international repute, who was a great man of inestimable value and had joined politics to buttress his love for humanity and mankind..
The release further states that as a mark of respect to the departed soul, Nwamara Campaign Council has suspended all campaign activities for today.
Dr Oreh sincerely offer his sincere condolence to the immediate family, Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, the Government of Abia State, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and indeed the good people of Abia State.
Dr. Oreh prayed for God to grant his soul an eternal rest and give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
