Nyesom Wike Removes Celestine Omeham As One Time Governor Of Rivers State, Demands He Refunds All The Money Paid To Him
The Governor Of Rivers State, His Excellency Governor Ezenwo Wike has removed a one time Governor Of Rivers State, Mr. Celestine Omeham from the lists of Rivers State past Governors and demands that he refund the sun of 600 million which he received as salary for the period of five months during his reign as Governor of the state, Arochukwu Blog noted this in a press release signed by Kelvin Ebiri, Special Assistant Media to the Rivers State Governor.
We noted that, Mr. Celestine will refund the Government of Rivers State the sum of 600 Million which he received as salary for the period of five months and 94 million he has received as Pension.
The release reads,
His Excellency Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, is to sign the instrument on cancellation of the recognition of Sir Celestine Omehia as a former governor of Rivers State.
The cancellation of the recognition is sequel to the resolution of the Rivers State House of Assembly adopted on Thursday, 6th October, 2022 to derecognise Sir Celestine Omehia as a former governor of the State.
The signing will take place in Government House, Port Harcourt on Friday, 7th October, 2022 by 12 noon.
