The Amaeke ward office of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), was beehive of activities on Thursday, when members of the Nwamara Campaign Team from the three wards in Abiriba: Agboji,Amaeke and Amogudu Wards, gathered to evaluate and strengthen the Nwamara Campaign Team, ahead of the inauguration of the council, coming up soon.
Addressing members of the team, the Deputy Director General, Nwamara Campaign Organization, Chief Peter Nnukwu Ogbuji, urged them to clearly itemize what are needed to win the forthcoming election in favour of Dr. Obinna Oreh. He said, the cruising to victory of Dr.Oreh depends on how prepared we are to launch into the main campaign which has already been lifted but we cannot start unless we evaluate and strengthen our structure.
According to him, part of strengthening Nwamara Campaign team is to ensure that the right tools; both human and materials to handle the election are in place before the actual kick off..
Ogbuji mandated the Ward Leaders of Agboji, Amogudu and Amaeke Wards to send in their road maps to the Campaign Directorate, stating how they intend to run the election. He advised them to prepare and submit the road maps within two weeks; otherwise, it will mean that the structure in Abiriba is not prepared for the elections.
He hammered on the need for Ward Council members to have multiplier effect by getting ten members each, who will in turn get ten voters each. This initiative, he said will enable the council cover all the Polling Units in no distant time, as the core campaign of the council shall be at the unit levels.
The surge at Amaeke Ward party office made those who were not originally slated for the structure to be coopted into the council. Ogbuji said ,since politics is an inconclusive game, those who were not part of the earlier volunteers but willingly came, show that they have special interest in delivering our candidate and other APGA candidates . He therefore, included them in the system and advised them to continue showing interest and campaign for Dr. Oreh, as their benefits do not differ from those earlier included in the team.
