Nnenna N’mma Lancaster-Okoro Blames PDP, Ikpeazu Over Non Payment Of Pensions

 

The Governorship Aspirant under the platform of People’s Redemption Party – PRP, Nnenna N’mma Lancaster-Okoro Esq has condemned the owing of over 30 months of gratuity and pension allowances to retired civil servants by Governor Victor Okezie Ikpeazu’s led administration in Abia state.

N’mma Lancaster-Okoro Esq made this condemnation while addressing journalists in Umuahia the State capital, describing the PDP led administration’s action to the State’s senior citizens as unfair. She noted that ‘these are people who had invested their best years in building the State and should therefore be rewarded appropriately.’

She promised that her administration come 2023 has pensioners’ welfare as one of its agenda, which will enhance prompt preparation of befitting welfare packages for retirees as well as the entire workforce of Abia state.

The Nigerian Union of Pensioners Abia State Chapter yesterday took to the streets of Umuahia the State capital to protest the backlog of pension and gratuity allowances owed to their members by Abia State government.

 Nnenna N’mma Lancaster-Okoro Esq, who recently picked her Nomination and Expression of Interest forms of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) and set to contest the Governorship Seat in Abia State is currently consulting with Party leaders and Abia Stakeholders ahead of her official declaration in the State.
