Labour Party Officially Admits Hon. Collins Smith
The Labour Party Arochukwu LGA has officially admitted into it’s ranks Hon. Collins Smith a contestant in the 2023 state House of assembly elections under the Young People’s Party. The official pronouncement of Mr Smith as a member of the Labour party was made during a stakeholders meeting of the Arochukwu chapter held at it’s Party office in Asaga village of Arochukwu clan.
The pronouncement ,was made by the Arochukwu LGA Chapter chairman Mr Onuoha Godwin after all stakeholders present had unanimously accepted the admittance of Hon. Collins Smith into the party.
The party chairman in an interview with Aro Okeigbo Blog said that the addition of Collins Smith is a great addition to the party if not he would not have been admitted into the party “we are here to open the door for some of our members who left we have opened the door for them to come back, Collins Smith and his followers, if they are not of value we will not admit them back to the party , we all know Collins Smith he is fighter I was his DG in 2019 so we know that he adds value wherever he goes”
Other Stakeholders present at the event described the joining of the Collins Smith and his supporters as a great addition to the Labour party fold in the LGA and has boosted it’s ranks.
For Mazi Ogbonnaya Okereke leader of Labour party ward 1 ” no doubt about him being a valuable member of the party we are happy to have him back to contribute his quota as we need all hands to be on deck as we commence the task of rebuilding Abia state”.
On his part Dr. Iroy Orji a former house of representatives aspirant said the meeting was a post election stakeholders meeting which would be the first since after elections and was also used as opportunity to receive back into the party some erstwhile members who had left and they were happy and excited to receive Hon. Collins Smith.
While speaking to Aro okeigbo blog Hon. Collins Smith says he is joining labour party to join the governor elect to build the Abia State of our dreams ” I have come here to the LGA party office of the Labour party to officially declare and join labour party to assist the governor elect see through the Abia of our dreams and I have been warmly received”
Some of the stakeholders present included : Mazi Nkem Okoro former Aro LGA chairman ; Mazi Onuoha Godwin Chapter chairman Labour party ; Dr Iroy Orji former House of representatives aspirant; Mazi Ogbonnaya Okereke leader Ward 1 Labour party, ward chairmen , LGA party women leader and youth leader.
