Unknown numbers of drivers have been kidnapped in Anambra State by gunmen thought to be kidnappers.
According to reports, the victims were abducted close to a checkpoint on the Nkwelle/Isiagu/Nibo Road.
An eyewitness reported that the cars’ occupants were abducted amid gunfire.
Despite security checkpoints, the witness claimed that there had been multiple instances of motorist kidnapping on that specific road.

Hon. Sylvester Okeke, from Agulu, a former member of the Anambra House of Assembly, was one of the victims, according to Festus Okafor.
The incident occurred on Friday, October 14, 2022, he added.
