FG Eager To Partner With Enugu State – Sen. Akpabio

The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, led a Federal Government delegation to attend the funeral of Lady Jane Nnamani, wife of former Senate President Senator Ken Nnamani, on Saturday. During the visit, Senator Akpabio expressed the Federal Government’s willingness to collaborate with Enugu State in order to promote the economic prosperity of the nation and ensure the protection of lives and property.

Addressing Governor Peter Mbah and other officials at the Government House in Enugu, Senator Akpabio emphasized the importance of setting aside political differences and focusing on governance after the elections. He stated that the government seeks cooperation from all stakeholders and practitioners of governance, regardless of political affiliation, in order to develop the country.

Senator Akpabio reiterated the administration’s commitment to working with all states in Nigeria and highlighted two key areas of focus: revitalizing the economy and ensuring the safety and security of the people.

Governor Mbah responded by assuring the Federal Government delegation of his administration’s readiness to collaborate with the central government for the benefit of Enugu State and the nation as a whole. He expressed eagerness to embrace the partnership and collaboration mentioned by Senator Akpabio, emphasizing that his administration’s vision is built on the principles of cooperation and partnership.
