End Of Tenure: Abia Deputy Speaker Bids Gov. Ikpeazu Farewell, Wishes Him Well In His Future Endeavors.

As the tenure of the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu winds up tomorrow May 29, the Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu has sent his farewell message to the outgoing Governor.

In his message, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu described the Governor as a Leader who isn’t simply in charge but one who inspired, motivated and encouraged many including him in his reign as the Governor of Abia State.

John Zenger who opined that “Great leaders are not defined by the absence of weakness, but rather by the presence of clear strengths” and explained that Governor Ikpeazu despite facing many challenges showed
great character and zeal to succeed.

He noted that the Governor has finished strongly by putting in place various Legacy Projects including the New Government House, the Enyimba Automated Garment Factory, the Multi Specialist Hospital Complex Aba which were all commissioned yesterday as well as other Projects delivered by his Administration in his 8 years as the Chief Executive Officer of the State.

Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu extolled the peaceful disposition of the Governor which he noted has ensured that the State maintained its spot as one of the safest states in Nigeria.

Also qouting Walter Lippman who opined that “The final test of a leader is that he leaves behind him in other men, the conviction and the will to carry on” the Deputy Speaker appreciated the Governor for contributing to his political success in various ways and wished the Governor the best in his future endeavors.
