In a brief ceremony held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday, Shettima conducted the decoration in his office. Egbetokun’s wife also participated in the event, assisting the Vice President with the honorary act.
Prior to this appointment, Egbetokun had previously served as the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, showcasing his experience and expertise in law enforcement.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished government officials, including Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), and other senior government officials.
This appointment marks a significant development in Nigeria’s law enforcement sector as Egbetokun takes on the crucial role of leading the Nigerian Police Force in its efforts to maintain law and order nationwide.
