BREAKING: Suspended EFCC Boss, Bawa Whisked Away From DSS Headquarters

The suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, has been secretly transferred from the Department of State Services (DSS) headquarters in Abuja to an undisclosed private facility.

Sources indicate that Bawa was relocated to another facility to ensure complete control over him, as he reportedly refused to cooperate with the DSS during their interrogation, denying their request for statements while in their custody.

Bawa had argued that the DSS had no legal grounds to detain him without specific charges, leading to his refusal to provide any statements while in their custody.

On Tuesday, a reliable news outlet revealed that Bawa had been moved from the DSS headquarters to one of their private facilities.

An anonymous top security source allegedly stated, “They’ve taken Bawa from the DSS headquarters to one of their private facilities to exercise full control over him after he declined to provide the requested statements.”

It has been reported by Aro Okeigbo Blog that Bawa is currently being detained alongside the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele.

Both Bawa and Emefiele have been accused of engaging in corrupt practices and abusing their positions. Their suspension came shortly after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu assumed office as the successor to Muhammadu Buhari.
