“Asiforo Must Go” – Aggrieved Abia PDP Members Insists

Some aggrieved members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State has maintained their stand on the removal of the State Chairman of the Party, Rt. Hon. Alwell Asiforo following the poor outing of the party in the just concluded general election in the state.

It was earlier reported that some of the PDP members had called on the immediate removal or resignation of the Party Chairman citing various inadequacies in his general administration of the party leading to the defeat of the party by the Labour Party candidate, Alex Otti in the Governorship election with scores of PDP candidates loosing their elections to candidates of the Labour party and other political parties in the State and Federal legislative seats.

Some of the PDP faithfuls who anonymously spoke to our agents informed that the party is in dire need of a vibrant and charismatic leader that will turn the fortunes of the party around as well as put the party on the part to success going forward.

The aggrieved/Concerned PDP die hards vowed to come together as a group to drive home their demands. Some of who were expressively angry with the Governor for his choice of Alwell Asiforo as the State party chairman of the party described the former law maker from Ukwa East LGA of Abia State as inexperienced chairman and vowed to meet with the Governor in the coming days to Officially make their stand known to him.
