The YPP on Friday announced the conclusion of her legislative primary elections in the 17 local government areas of the State where 24 State House of Assembly, 8 federal House, and 3 Senatorial Aspirants emerged as candidates of the party in a contest regarded as the most credible and freest primary election recorded in Abia State under the supervision of the INEC and DSS.

Onoh Chukwuma Richard having won the party primary election to represent the good people of Arochukwu LGA is the only candidate from Ututu contesting for the state house. Reporting reaching us has it that he is contesting to defeat the PDP flag bearer whose imposition has been met with stiff opposition birthed by the emergence of the PDP candidate in an undemocratic manner where there was no electoral materials and umpire to conduct the primaries and yet a winner emerged. It’s understood that the YPP candidate was sponsored by his brother and boss Dr. Philips Nto who feels insulted by the sham called primary in Arochukwu LGA.

Information reaching our desk has it that, Onoh is the secret candidate to upset the plans of the PDP Abia North Senatorial to make his brother the candidate of PDP.

From our findings, other clans has multiple candidates while Onoh Chukwuma Richard is the only candidate in Ututu and he enjoys the support of the major stakeholders who felt insulted by the outcome of the PDP primary election.
