★ Says PDP in Abia Has Had It’s Worst Outing Under His Watch.

★ Urges Governor Ikpeazu To Prevail to Save the Party.

Following the abysmal performance of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State in the just concluded General election in Abia State, some concerned members of the Party across the state has called for the immediate resignation or removal of the State Chairman of the Party, Rt. Hon. Alwell Asiforo and the Members of his state working committee.

According to some aggrieved PDP members in Abia State, the party has had its worst outing in a general election since the Democratic dispensation and blamed the poor performance of the party on its Chairman, Asiforo whom they noted lacks the necessary knowledge/idea on how to lead a Ward as a Party Chairman before he was entrusted with the affairs of the party in 2020 during the Party’s congress.

Continuing, some of the aggrieved also accused the Party Chairman of collecting several millions of naira from the Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu but only managed to win his Ukwa West LGA with just 100 votes.

Rt. Hon. Alwell Asiforo was also accused of undermining the landslide victory of the party in Ukwa West by assigning some members of the PDP in the area as agents of other political parties without a proper knowledge of the implications of his decisions.

Among other issues raised by these PDP faithfuls were the one man show of the Chairman which saw him run the affairs of the party as a personal business.

They noted with regrets how the Chairman imposed some Candidates of the party on other members of the party which led to some of them working against their party candidates.

They vowed that they will continue to expose other decisions of the party Chairman leading to the poor performance of the party in the just concluded general election.

The concerned PDP members therefore called on the leader of the Party in the state, Gov. Victor Okezie Ikpeazu to prevail on the matter and save the party from future poor outing.
