CONGRATULATIONS SIR,
‘ ABIA WON AT LAST’!!
We the members of Abia Sustainability Round Table Series (ASRTS) , join all Abians of goodwill to congratulate the new Abia State governor-elect, Dr Alex Otti on his well-deserved victory at the keenly contested governorship election on Saturday 18th of March 2023 as declared by INEC Abia State Returning Officer. We also wish to celebrate the INEC State Returning Officer, Prof. Nnenna Otti for her exemplary moral courage during the process.
Abians had waited for a long time in the current democracy for a collective victory at the poll, this informed the liberation songs and dance that herald the announcement of Dr Otti as the governor-elect for Abia State on Wednesday March 22, 2023. This is a well-deserved victory for Nde Abia. We look forward to a progressive and sustainable Abia State of our shared vision which Dr Otti’s victory speech alluded to as the focus of the new government.
In line with ASRTS core objective of leading reorientation for transformative leadership and development trajectory in Abia State, we wish to call upon all the other contestants in the keenly competitive election, to please reach out and congratulate Dr Otti; on his emergence as governor elect. We equally call on the governor-elect to be open to all Abians, especially those in opposition, as the new Abia State we want requires contributions of all Abians.
Given our belief that the governor-elect share ASRTS concerns for development and sustainability of Abia State in the face of growing social and economic challenges, as well as, threat of insecurity, we have high hope that Dr Otti would give premium attention to good governance, economic, infrastructural and human development as governor of Abia state.
