4 Kidnapped catholic sisters have been released

 Catholic Reverend Sisters taken hostage by METRO 4 were released in Imo on August 24, 2022. Imo homicides.


The four Catholic Church Reverend Sisters who were abducted on Sunday at the Okigwe-Umulolo intersection in Imo State’s Okigwe Local Government Area have been freed.

President of the Sisters of Jesus Zita Ihedoro, the Saviour (Generalate), revealed this to reporters in Owerri yesterday.

On their route to a coworker’s Thanksgiving mass, the Reverend Sisters Johannes Nwodo, Christabel Echemazu, Liberata Mbamalu, and Benita Agu were abducted.

“With hearts full of pleasure, the sisters of Jesus the Saviour wish to announce the unconditional and safe release of four of our sisters, who were abducted around the Okigwe-Umulolo axis on August 21, 2022,” Sister Ihedoro stated in a statement announcing their release.

“Today will always be special to us. We therefore want to spread our happiness to everyone of good will who helped to hasten and ensure the safe release of our beloved sisters.

“We genuinely value and appreciate your prayers and moral support at this trying time. We have come to serve Jesus the Saviour, so may He bless, guard, and provide for you. especially during trying times.

At the time of publication, Imo State Police Public Relations Officer Michael Abattam had not officially commented on the report of the Reverend Sisters’ release.
