The National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal convened in Umuahia, the capital of Abia State, has rendered a verdict nullifying the electoral victory of Hon. Ibe Okwara, a candidate affiliated with the Labour Party, who was previously representing the Arochukw/Ohafia Federal Constituency.
In the course of delivering their judgment on Monday in Umuahia, the tribunal’s three-member panel articulated that Hon. Ibe Okwara’s election was invalidated due to his non-compliance with the stipulated provisions of the Electoral Act. Consequently, the tribunal has declared High Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke as the rightful winner of the election.
Following this development, High Chief Daniel Chimezie Okeke has taken to his official Facebook account to publicly celebrate his victory, as documented and reported by Aro Okeigbo Blog.
