Residents of Apete in Ibadan are shocked to discover the remains of a decomposing body of a man after four years in his bedroom.
The deceased, whose name is still unknown as of this writing, was reportedly seen by neighbors four years ago while making one of his infrequent trips from Portharcourt in Rivers State, where he was living at the time, to Ibadan.
The exact cause of his death has not yet been determined, but locals told news reporters that no one in the neighborhood was aware of the incident until this week, when the neighborhood decided to enter his compound to cut back the overgrown bush that had turned it into a haven for snakes and rodents.
According to information, the huasas hired to trim the grass in the dead compound were instructed to enter the compound because the house’s gate was shut from the back. However, when they did, they discovered that the house owner’s automobile was on the property and had been overgrown with bushes.
Eyewitnesses said that after successfully cutting down the bush, they peeked in the building’s window and spotted the skeleton of the dead guy on his bed, holding a phone.
A thorough investigation into the event is currently being conducted by officers of the Oyo State Police Command.
