Champion Newspapers Set to Honour Abia Deputy Speaker.
A front line Nigerian Newspaper House, Champion Newspapers Limited has concluded plans to honour the Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu with CHAMPION NEWSPAPERS’ 2021 OUTSTANDING DEPUTY SPEAKER OF THE YEAR Award.
In a letter addressed to the Deputy Speaker and dated April 27th, 2022, the newspaper house noted that the Award/Honour which is a product of the painstaking selection of its Board of Editors is their modest way of recognizing institutions and leaders in both public and private sectors of the economy who have paid a greater sacrifice in ensuring that the fundamental objectives and ideas of the Nigerian Nation are sustained.
According to the Champion Newspapers Limited explained that on all scores, their findings, largely corroborated by that of credible independent assessors, confirm that the quality representation of the good people of Ohafia South Constituency of Abia State by the Deputy Speaker and his dynamic leadership integrity, exemplary skills, robust contributions to debates on the floor of the House of Assembly has not only facilitated the enactment of people-oriented legislations but brought stability to the legislature.
In the letter signed by the Group Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of the Champion Newspapers Limited, Dr. Mrs Nwadiuto Iheakanwa, the cordial relationship of the Deputy Speaker and the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji has brought stability to the house and created the enabling environment for a harmonious executive-legislative bond which paved the way for the delivery of democracy dividends to the people.
The Newspaper House also noted with delight that Abia Deputy Speaker is clearly one of the few diligent and exceptional law makers and Deputy Speaker in the 36 States of Assembly who have distinguished themselves not only in the art of lawmaking and quality representation but also shown a high degree of transparency and accountability in both private and public affairs.
Continuing, it noted that the wealth of experience of the Deputy Speaker as a two-term law maker, ingenious, creative, pragmatic and resilient approach to leadership has no doubt brought a lot of transformation to his constituency and enhanced the welfare of the constituents who are now clamouring for him to represent the good people of *Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the 2023 General elections.*
