Arochukwu Frontline female enthusiastic leader and  guber aspirant under the umbrella of People Redemption Party at the upcoming 2023 Abia gubernatorial election, Barr. Nnenna N’ma Lancaster-Okoro esq. has promised implement and execute positive change if elected Governor which will help to return the state back to the people and right the wrongs done in the state by past and present administrations.

The Abia female governorship hopeful made this known on 20/04/2022, while receiving members and governorship form of the Peoples Redemption Party PRP, from the representative of the National Chairman of the party Falalu Bello at the party’s National Secretariat in Garki II Abuja.

She said it is time to bring the power back to the people who stood under rain and sun to elect leaders that will bring desired development to the state but ended up having godsons of no vision for the common man in Abia, and godfatherism which has brought Abia as one of the failed states in the country.

Barr. Nma Lancaster Okoro esq. further noted that her administration in Abia State is to include Prompt payment of pensions and retirement benefits to retired senior citizens, construction of access roads to communities, farms, encouragement of entrepreneurship and creation of job opportunities for the youths, men and women of ideas which  will help in the development of the sate and others.

According to her “Abia as it stands now is pitiable and overgrown village, so my focus as governor come 2023 is to transform Abia into a working state, we have to put things right especially to source for the best ideas, create enabling environments and transform them into realities for the good of our people which past and present administrations failed to work on, and anyone supporting the major parties that have destroyed the common hope of any Abia man is worst than the devil. Since my administration will run an inclusive government that means all Abians will be important stakeholder in governance and development of our dear state, our votes must count this time around and I therefore urged all Abians to go and register at the ongoing INEC voter’s registration and those who can transfer their voters card to Abia should as well do so, while women on the other hand should support themselves just like me because this is the time of women and for years now men have failed us in the leadership of Abia State and am sure men will also support us too because women have played key roles for their emergence right from the year 1999”.

On Zoning of the Party’s ticket to any part of the state, the Guber aspirant said it remains the PRP decision to either zone or not but she however caution those who are aspiring to contest the governorship sit from Abia south and Central to desist from such act after taking their fair share of the state leadership and do well to support and allow the rotation of power back to Abia north.

“In 2014 I was approached by well-meaning Abians who are willing to support me at all cost for me to become the governor in 2015, but I have to side step because I know it is the turn of the south to lead, it is lack of integrity very shameful that at the end of their tenure in 2023 they will still work on retaining the power either from South or Central” she further added.
